In an unusual incident from Bihar’s Rajouli area, a man in Bihar who got bit by a snake took a revenge by biting it back and thereby leading to it’s death.
A labourer, identified as Santosh Lohar from Jharkhand worked on the railway line project in Rajoul and was sleeping at his camp on Tuesday night when a venomous snake bit him. Instead of being scared and panicked, an enraged Santosh held the snake with an iron rod and bit it back thrice, ultimately killing the reptile.
When asked about his action towards the snake, Santosh told India Today, “In my village, there’s a belief that if a snake bites you, you must bite it back twice to neutralize the venom.”
Soon after the incident, railway officials took Santosh to a nearby hospital for treatment.
As the news of the incident spread across, a crowd gathered at the hospital to catch a glimpse of the man and know about his story. As per media reports, many locals thought that the snake might not have been venomous, as in that case his life might be in the face of severe danger.
According to Dr. Satish Chandra. who is in-charge of treating Santosh, he is now recovering and is out of danger.
