The videos and pictures of striking wildlife creatures, shared on different social networking sites often capture the eyeballs of online users. From jumbos to big cats, social media have quite a number of clips showcasing the antics of wild animals. Now, a video showing the tiger taking a giant leap in Sunderbans to cross a water body and go to the other side of the bank is raking in likes. Indian Railway Accounts Service (IRAS) officer Ananth Rupanagudi took to X (Formerly Twitter) to share a breathtaking video of a tiger taking a majestic leap and expressed that he can’t get enough of it. This video was shot in Sunderbans, West Bengal.The officer credited the video to wildlife photographer Harshal Malvankar.

“In Sunderbans – over 20 feet leap from standing position – once in a lifetime shot! I know that this has gone viral but one can’t get enough of it!” wrote IRAS Ananth Rupanagudi while sharing the video on X.

The video was shared on March 24 and since then it has mustered over 35,000 views. The share has also collected over 700 likes and numerous retweets. Several users flocked to the comments section to express their views. “That soft landing,” wrote an individual. “Incredible,” an account remarked. A user commented, “So majestic and beautiful shot.” Another mentioned, “Oh my! What a sight!”

Earlier, a video of a golden tiger in Assam’s Kaziranga National Park left the online users in admiration. The clip showed a member of an extremely rare species of tiger – the golden tiger – roaming inside Assam’s Kaziranga National Park. The video was shared on X by the official handle of the Chief Minister’s Office, “Assam’s wildlife never ceases to amaze! A rare golden tiger was recently spotted taking a stroll in Kaziranga National Park. This sighting adds to the list of diverse faunal creatures found in Assam’s landscape,” the caption read.

Similarly, Susanta Nanda, an Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer, took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a video that featured pseudo-melanistic tigers, a rare colour variant that has become synonymous with the region.

It showcased a complete pseudo-melanistic tiger family through the lens of a camera trap. In his tweet, Nanda expressed the awe-inspiring nature of the find, stating, “Nature never fails to surprise us. This is one of the rarest of the rare… A complete Pseudo-melanistic tiger family from the forests of Odisha.”
