Hassan Nasrallah, the chief Iran-backed militant group Hezbollah, was suffocated to death after toxic fumes leaked into his secret bunker following Israel launched a massive airstrike on the militant group’s headquarters in Beirut on September 27, reported an Israeli media outlet.

How Did Hezbollah Chief Hassan Nasrallah Die

It has been learnt that when Nasrallah’s body was discovered by officials he had no visible wounds, which suggested he may have been buried under rubble while gas from explosions filled his bunker.

The report suggested that the death Hezbollah chief might not have been the initial blast, but rather an asphyxiation.

The security personnel who recovered Nasrallah’s body said that he was most likely killed by blunt trauma due to the explosions. He was preparing for a meeting with Hezbollah leadership when the bombs struck.

However, the Lebanese militant group has not yet commented on what actually happened during the airstrike in Beirut in which its chief was killed.
