Elon Musk slammed US Vice President Kamala Harris while accusing her of “lying” about former President Donald Trump’s abortion stance on Monday on social media platform X.
“When will politicians, or at least the intern who runs their account, learn that lying on this platform doesn’t work anymore?” Musk said on social media site X, which he owns, after a Community Note flag appeared beneath a social media post posted by Kamala Harris on X.

Harris’s post on her X account said that Trump “would ban abortion nationwide” and that she and President Biden will do “everything” in their “power to stop him and restore women’s reproductive freedom”.
But a Community Note appeared beneath the post stating that “President Trump has repeatedly said he will not sign a national abortion ban”.
Donald Trump would ban abortion nationwide.President @JoeBiden and I will do everything in our power to stop him and restore women's reproductive freedom.

Elon Musk then took aim at Kamala Harris and other politicians reminding them that politicians cannot spread falsehoods about their opponents and lie on X anymore.
Trump has stated that he will not pursue a national abortion ban, despite pressure from some Republicans. Instead, he plans to leave abortion regulations to individual states. Trump added that he supports allowing abortion in cases of rape, incest, and when the mother’s life is at risk.

“I put three great Supreme Court justices on the court and they happened to vote in favour of killing Roe v. Wade, and moving it back to the states. Now the states are working it out,” Trump said in recent remarks made during his presidential debate with Joe Biden.
“What happened is we brought it back to the states and the country is now coming together on this issue. It’s been a great thing,” the 78-year-old said.
Biden reiterated that he would restore Roe v. Wade if he came back into office.
