Bajaj Pulsar N160 Bids Adieu to Single-Channel ABS, Embraces Dual for Safety
Bajaj Auto revs up safety with the discontinuation of Pulsar N160's single-channel ABS, responding to surging demand for the dual-channel variant.

Bajaj Auto waves goodbye to the single-channel ABS variant of the popular Bajaj Pulsar N160.

The decision stems from a consumer shift favoring the safety prowess of its dual-channel ABS counterpart.

Initially hitting the roads with options of single and dual-channel ABS versions, priced at Rs. 1,22,854/- and Rs. 1,27,853/- (ex-showroom) respectively, the negligible price gap of Rs. 5000/- quickly nudged buyers towards the enhanced safety promised by the dual-channel ABS.

Dealerships in the Bajaj network observed an overwhelming preference for the dual-channel ABS variant, signaling a drastic decline in demand for the single-channel counterpart. Responding to this consumer trend, Bajaj Auto took the decisive step of discontinuing the single-channel ABS variant a few months back.

Presently, the Bajaj Pulsar N160 exclusively flaunts the dual-channel ABS feature, commanding a price of Rs. 1,30,560/- (ex-showroom, Delhi) across its three color options – Brooklyn Black, Racing Red, and Caribbean Blue, all available at the same price tag.

Under the hood, the bike houses a robust 164.82cc, single-cylinder, air-oil-cooled engine churning out 16 bhp and 14.65 Nm of torque. Competing against the likes of Hero Xtreme 160R 4V, Yamaha FZ-S Fi V3.0, Suzuki Gixxer, and TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, the Bajaj Pulsar N160 stands as a formidable contender in its segment.

By bidding adieu to the single-channel ABS variant, Bajaj Auto aims to synchronize its product lineup with the evolving consumer preferences and market dynamics.
