The much-awaited three-lane extension of Sarai Kale Khan Flyover was finally inaugurated on Sunday. The opening ceremony was attended by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal along with his top party leader Atishi Marlena.
Delhi CM also cut the ribbon and gave the green signal to use the newly constructed 620-meter-long flyover. He also congratulated the whole team of engineers and agencies who worked together on the project and turned it into reality in a timely manner.

As per the details shared by the official, it has been informed that the newly inaugurated flyover will not just reduce the time travel between southeast Delhi to ITO, but also will be proved as a major contributor in lowering the traffic on T junction. This will also provide a seamless traveling experience to the daily commuters, officials added.
Here’s What Delhi CM Says About Flyover
While sharing the news on official Twitter, which is now known as X, Delhi CM said ” The jam which used to occur at Sarai Kale Khan T-Junction will now end. Today we inaugurated a new 3-lane flyover there. A total of Rs 66 crores were spent for this flyover but we completed this work for only Rs 50 crores and saved Rs 16 crores from the public. With the construction of this flyover, people coming from ITO to the Ashram will now get convenience.”

In addition, he also said that “earlier there used to be a lot of traffic jam at the Ashram but now you will not have to wait even for five minutes. Now there is no red light from Chandgi Ram Akhara to Ashram, Moolchand, Dhaula Kuan.”
