Mumbai: BEST To Roll Out India's First Public Bus Service On Atal Setu, Check Routes
BEST introduces S-145 route, India's 1st bus service on Mumbai Trans Harbour Link, enhancing connectivity. Plans for expansion to meet growing demand.

Mumbai is gearing up for an exciting addition to its public transport system, with the Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) finalizing the route for the city’s inaugural bus service on the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link (MTHL) – the Atal Setu.

The newly established route, S-145, run between Konkan Bhavan, Belapur, and the World Trade Centre, crossing the Atal Setu. It will stop at Sai Sangam, Targhar, Ulwe node, Aai Tarumata, Kamdhenu Oaklands, MTHL, Eastern Freeway, CSMT, Churchgate station, and end at Cuffe Parade, as reported by Mid-day.com.

Initially, there will be two morning services from Belapur to the World Trade Centre and two evening services in the opposite direction.

BEST officials are working on finalizing toll charges and refining the route and fare structure. A trial run with bus enthusiasts and experts has been conducted for feedback and review.

Former Union Minister of Communications and Shipping, Milind Deora, who recently joined the Shiv Sena, has urged the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) to establish a ‘bus priority lane’ on the newly-opened MTHL.

The introduction of the S-145 bus route is a significant achievement for Mumbai’s public transport system, offering commuters convenient and efficient connectivity across the MTHL. With plans to expand services, BEST aims to meet the increasing transportation needs of residents and visitors.
