Pune Metro: PM Modi to Visit City in Feb to Launch Ruby Hall-Ramwadi Service

As the Pune Metro Line 2 is gearing up to start the operation from Ruby Hall Clinic to Ramwadi, PM Modi Narendra Modi is expected to visit the city for the inauguration ceremony. However, the official confirmation by the PMO is yet to be released.

The 16-km stretch will begin from from Vanaz, for which the concerned management and authorities eyeing on its final inspection, requesting minor changes before giving it final clearance to run.

Here’s What Pune Metro Director Says

It has been reported by the Indian Express, quoting Hemant Sonawane, executive director of Pune Metro, who said, “Work is completed and it can be inaugurated. We have done all the required compliance recommended by the Railway Safety Board and are expecting the nod to start service from Ruby Hall to Ramwadi soon.”

Discounts on E-ticket

While encouraging commuters to take the route of e-tickets instead of standing in queues, Sonawane also said, “Pune Metro will give a 10 percent discount on weekdays and a 30 percent discount on weekends for every digital ticket from Thursday.” According to him, paperless tickets would contribute to the environment and also help the passengers to experience a seamless travel experience.

To get the e-tickets, interested ones can send a Hi message to 9420101990 on WhatsApp. The same also can be generated using Pune Metro’s official application. The process will allow them to enjoy the above-mentioned discounts on every paperless ticket as well.
