Here is a pictographic review of how the Himalayan faired the various trials the bike was put through.

We tested out the Royal Enfield Himalayan for its off-roading claims at a dirt-laden track. While the Himalayan excelled in some, it lacked in a few of the necessary features. Here is a lodown of how the bike faired under the tests.

Here is a pictographic review of how the Himalayan faired the various trials the bike was put through. Read on as we take you on an off-roading adventure on the Royal Enfield Himalayan.

We are on our way to the Off-Road Adventure Zone located in Baliawas, Haryana. 20 kilometres away from SurajKund Road, the location has been decided for the off-road ride based upon the variety of off-roading tracks which it offers.

The Himalayan starts to reveal the enhanced traction of its tyres as soon as we enter the sand-laden premises of the Adventure Zone.

The Himalayan faired well on its first obstacle in the course. The challenge tested it out for its capability to ride over steep terrains while balancing its way through a narrow trajectory.

The next challenge was a true test of the suspension system placed in the Himalayan. As opposed to what it may seem in this picture, the slope was too sleep for many other bikes to dive into.

Notice how the front suspension forks have compressed to their maximum, providing a complete cushion to the bike's frame for a smooth landing from a steep slope.

The Royal Enfield Himalayan surprisingly misses out on ABS, a feature which makes it skid while braking in an off-road scenario.

While climbing on steep slopes, we felt an evident lack of enough power delivered by the engine of the Himalayan. For an off-roading bike, this comes as a major setback.

The 200 mm travel of the front suspension and 180 mm of rear can be easily judged from this picture as the Himalayan lifts from the ground, expanding them to their max after extreme compression state.

Royal Enfield Himalayan's cornering, weight distribution and design that ensures a proper riding posture gets full marks from us.

The Himalayan has proved its worth in many of the claims that Royal Enfield makes about the bike. Read the full review of the Royal Enfield Himalayan here.
