India will resume their pursuit of World Cup glory in their upcoming game against the Netherlands. The hosts have put on a tremendous show on home soil with some remarkable performances against some of the biggest teams in the sport. From a solid six-wicket triumph over Australia in their World Cup opener to an impressive 243-run thumping of South Africa, India have proven over and over again that they are one of the primary contenders for the title. They are currently undefeated in the tournament with eight wins from as many games. They will be facing the Dutch side next on their path to the semi-finals. India will be looking to extend their winning lead against the Netherlands as they prepare for the knockout phase.

The M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru will host the match between India and the Netherlands on Sunday, November 12. The Netherlands arrived at the World Cup with some impressive wins in the qualifiers.  Their only two victories in the main competition came against South Africa and Bangladesh. Given India’s form in their recent fixtures, it is highly unlikely that the Dutch side will be able to overcome their final hurdle of the 2023 World Cup.

Pitch Report:

M Chinnaswamy Stadium is widely considered to be a batter’s paradise. It is known to be a batter-friendly pitch due to its fairly quick outfield and overall small size compared to other stadiums. This tends to aid the batters, making run-scoring relatively easier. The wicket is expected to be flat which can occasionally aid spinners with some extra turn but an average first-innings score of 265 means that spectators will likely witness an exciting game at the venue.

Weather Report:

Bengaluru is expected to experience partly cloudy skies on November 12 with around a three percent chance of precipitation. This means that rainfall should not interrupt the game at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. The ambient temperatures are going to range somewhere from 28 degrees Celsius during the day to around 16 degrees Celsius at night. Humidity is going to hover around 59 percent during the day before increasing to 80 percent at night. Wind speeds will likely be hovering around 15 km/h to 25 km/h.
