Preity Zinta was among the most popular actresses in Bollywood in the late 90s and early 2000s. She was part of several hit films like Kal Ho Na Ho and Veer Zara. However, after she got married, she moved to Los Angeles, USA. She hasn’t been seen in Bollywood films since then and her fans are eagerly awaiting her comeback. If the latest reports are to be believed, the much-awaited comeback will soon happen with Sunny Deol’s Lahore 1947.
The actress was spotted in Mumbai on Wednesday, January 24. She was reportedly visiting a studio for a look test. Preity looked stunning in a pastel pink salwar suit. Now, according to a report by India Today, the actress was at the studio for a look test for Lahore 1947. The report claimed that the actress is most likely to make her comeback with this film opposite Sunny Deol.
Preity Zinta and Sunny Deol have previously collaborated on many memorable films like Hero: Love Story of a Spy, Farz and Bhaiyaji Superhit to name a few. Sunny Deol made his grand comeback last year with Gadar 2. The film became a massive hit at the box office. As a result, Aamir Khan offered him Lahore 1947.
“When Aamir Khan came to the success party of Gadar 2, he came to me and said that he wanted to meet me. I surprisingly asked myself what it was all about, and the next day we met, we discussed some ideas and possibilities for cooperation, and after the conclusion, we came to this project, and that’s how it happened,” Sunny told Karan Johar on Koffee With Karan 8. Aamir Khan is the co-producer of the film.
As for Preity, her film Kal Ho Na Ho clocked 20 years in 2023. Taking to her social media handle, Preity who played Naina’s character, penned a heartfelt note for the film. She called Kal Ho Naa Ho the “saddest happy film” she ever worked on.
