New Delhi: Issues ranging from the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe to 3G auction may figure in a series of meetings Union Telecom Minister A Raja will hold with the chief executives of companies beginning from Tuesday.
The meetings spread over three days will have separate discussions with unified licensees, NLD and ILD players as well as ISPs.
It has no fixed agenda, but will discuss all issues of the industry and the auction of the 3G spectrum, said sources.
A telcom operator said since there is a CBI investigation over alleged irregularties in the license and spectrum allotment going on, the Minister may try to win over the industry by asking them not to be perturbed over the development and focus on operations and customers.
An official said the department would try to send out a message to the telcos that it would be work as usual and companies would participate in the 3G spectrum auction.
The industry on its part is likely to seek some clarity on policy directions in the wake of the CBI investigation, said another player.
