ICC's Chief Pitch Consultant refused to take questions from journalists on his assessment of the ground.
Chennai: International Cricket Council’s (ICC) Chief Pitch Consultant Andy Atkinson on Saturday inspected the MA Chidambaram stadium ground which will host 2011 World Cup matches.
Atkinson, who reached here from Kolkata to inspect the pitches that are being readied for the World Cup ties, refused to take questions from journalists on his assessment of the ground.
“I will be submitting my observations in a consolidated report to the ICC,” he merely said.
Atkinson was accompanied by venue consultant Eugene Van Vuuren at the stadium.
