The 2024 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is well and truly underway, and now the focus shifts to the second game of the new season as Punjab Kings (PBKS) are set to host Delhi Capitals (DC). The Delhi Capitals have a balanced squad, at least in return, and the recovery of Rishabh Pant to full fitness will only boost the franchise’s chances of making it to the playoffs. They have a good batting and bowling unit, with the likes of Axar Patel and Mitchell Marsh providing ample options as all-rounders.
The Punjab Kings boast a quality batting lineup, but one glaring weakness in their side is the lack of a world-class spinner. While Rahul Chahar has a decent record in the IPL, the leg-spinner hasn’t been as effective in recent seasons.
