Vikram Prabhu, who is in news for his latest release Iruga Patru, is basking in the glory of the movie’s resounding success. The film received accolades from all and fared exceptionally well at the box office. Before this, Prabhu was part of the highly anticipated pan-Indian epic, Ponniyin Selvan 1 and 2, which further enhanced his reputation in the film industry.

Now, Vikram Prabhu is all set to extend his triumphant streak with his upcoming release Raid, which is going to hit theatres during Diwali.

The festival season promises fierce competition with other major releases like Jigarthanda, Double X, and Japan all vying for attention. Nevertheless, Vikram Prabhu’s Raid aims to seize the spotlight with its gritty and hard-hitting trailer, unveiled just a day ago.

In the recently released trailer, Vikram Prabhu embodies the role of a no-nonsense cop who doesn’t hesitate to get his hands dirty in the pursuit of justice. His character finds himself transferred to a new town where he confronts a formidable gang lord, leading a reign of terror. The policeman is unwavering in his determination to dismantle the gangster’s empire and restore peace to the beleaguered community.

Raid is the official remake of the Kannada blockbuster Tagaru, which originally featured Shiva Rajkumar. The film was an all-encompassing action entertainer that showcased a lone cop’s fearless battle against ruthless gangsters. Tagaru was a resounding success and a game-changer for actor Dhananjaya KA, who portrayed the character Daali, instantly skyrocketing to fame.

Apart from Vikram Prabhu, Raid features Soundara Raja, Ananthika, Rishi Rithvik, and Sri Divya. The action-packed film marks the directorial debut of Karthi.

Raid is scheduled to hit theatres on November 10, promising an adrenaline-pumping cinematic experience for the audience. The film boasts a skilled technical team, with Veeramani Ganesan as the art director, Sam CS as the music director, Kathiravan as the cinematographer, Manimaran as the editor, and K Ganesh as the action director.

Raid marks the second collaboration between Vikram Prabhu and Sri Divya, who previously shared the screen with him in the 2014 comedy Vellaikara Durai. The film has generated considerable anticipation, and fans of action-packed cinema are eagerly awaiting its release to witness Vikram Prabhu’s portrayal of a fearless cop in Raid.
