'Great Taste': Young Fan Imitates Jasprit Bumrah's Unique Bowling Action, Leaves MI Star Impressed
Currently representing Mumbai Indians in IPL 2024, fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah took some time out to met with his young fan.

Mumbai Indians bowling star Jasprit Bumrah was awed by a little fan who replicated his bowling action after meeting him.

A clip of their interaction was shared by the five-time Indian Premier League (IPL) winners on Instagram.

“Jasprit Bumrah’s cutest fan,” read the caption of the post.

In the video, the young boy can be heard saying, “I’ll do a bowling action. You have to guess who it is.”

Having said this, he swung his arm in the air while doing a little jump.

Bumrah quickly recognised the familiar action and said, “This is me!”.

The kid then went on to tell Bumrah that he only practices the Mumbai speedster’s bowling action while training with his father.

A second question from Mumbai’s wicketkeeper Ishan Kishan confirmed that Bumrah was the little kid’s favourite bowler as well.

Bumrah is widely recognised as one of the finest fast bowlers in the world today.

In his international career, he has picked up a combined 382 wickets in 36 Tests, 89 ODIs and 62 T20Is

Bumrah has also been Mumbai Indians’ biggest weapon in IPL.

Since his IPL debut in 2013, he has scalped 155 wickets in 126 games. He boasts of an economy of 7.33 and a strike-rate of 18.62.

Bumrah continues to be impressive in the ongoing IPL 2024.

He has accumulated 10 wickets in the six matches he has played so far and is currently second in the race for the Purple Cap.

Bumrah recently displayed a terrific bowling against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru scalping five wickets. In that match, he dismissed the likes of Virat Kohli and Bengaluru skipper Faf du Plessis even as their opponents scored 196.

MI produced a red-hot show with the bat, chasing down the target in 15.3 overs.

Having lost their opening three games of the tournament, MI found themselves on the backfoot early on. They returned to winning ways by emerging victorious in consecutive matches against the Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

In their previous game, however, MI lost to defending IPL champions Chennai Super Kings by 20 runs. They will next play against the Punjab Kings at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Stadium tonight.
