The deadline set by the ICC for the 20 participating teams to submit their provisional squad is May 1 and so far, only New Zealand have announced the 15-member squad. However, in the next two days, all teams will announce their respective T20 World Cup squads.

Rishabh Pant, returning from a horrific injury, and Jasprit Bumrah – with their performances in IPL2024 – more or less seem to have booked their places in the squad, and so has Virat Kohli.
