Royal Challengers Bengaluru stars Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell were involved in a candid conversation during one of the team’s promotional shoots. The Royal Challengers Bengaluru triumvirate was seen playing a game in a video uploaded on Instagram ahead of their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 fixture against Sunrisers Hyderabad. The Indian ace batter was asked by Maxwell about the three cricketers he loved batting against. A smile broke out on Kohli’s face as he said, “Maxwell”. His second answer was Australia’s James Faulkner which left the entire table laughing. South African pacer Kagiso Rabada was Kohli’s third pick for the question. “And the third one would be…KG! I enjoy playing against KG Rabada. Challenging”, the former Royal Challengers Bengaluru skipper concluded.
The video began with Virat Kohli asking Royal Challengers Bengaluru skipper Faf du Plessis about the three things that make him angry. Du Plessis was quite prompt with his replies as he said, “People who lie, lack of sleep, too many shoots!” Next, Glenn Maxwell was asked to name the three Hindi words that he used frequently. “Theekhe, Shukriya, Chalo Chalo”, the Aussie all-rounder responded. Du Plessis next asked Kohli to name his three favourite songs to which he replied, “Channa Mereya, Oh Ho Ho Ho, Ainvayi Ainvayi.”
While Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell might be enjoying their time off the pitch, on it, it has been a completely different story for Royal Challengers Bengaluru. The Bengaluru-based franchise are currently at the bottom of the IPL points table with a single win in their campaign so far. Their only victory this season came against the Punjab Kings where they won by four wickets.

Despite putting up a 196-run scoreline at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai Indians were able to complete the chase with 4.3 overs to spare. The duo of Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav made the most impact for the five-time winners with half-centuries each.
