MI's Hardik Pandya, Suryakumar Yadav Left Shocked as SRH Skipper Pat Cummins Shows Chopped Middle Finger After IPL 2024 Clash - WATCH
SRH's Cummins was seen in conversation with the MI duo, seemingly explaining to the latter about his shorter middle finger on his dominant hand, caused by an accident when he was 4 years old.

Enemies on the field, friends off it. This was encapsulated yesterday by the likes of Hardik Pandya, Pat Cummins, and Suryakumar Yadav, as the trio shared a light moment after their heated encounter in the Wankhede.

SRH’s Cummins was seen in conversation with the MI duo, seemingly explaining to the latter about his shorter middle finger on his dominant hand, caused by an accident when he was 4 years old.

Cummins’ sister accidentally slammed a door onto his hand, causing the Aussie skipper to lose part of his finger in the process.

In the video, Pandya and Surya can be seen being shocked and surprised at the tale of it all, as Cummins candidly shared the story with them and explaining how he readjusted to learn how to bowl with his his two central fingers being of the same length.

It was a fine performance by the MI skipper Hardik Pandya and Piyush Chawla yesterday, who chipped in with three wickets each. Travis Head was the pick of the batters for SRH scoring 48(30). The debutant Anshul Kamboj had a decent start to his IPL career with the wicket of Mayank Agarwal to kickstart his career.

The veteran leg-spinner Chawla chipped in with wickets along with the MI skipper through the middle stages as SRH finished with a target of 174 runs to finish the first innings thanks to a late flurry of runs by the SRH skipper Pat Cummins who scored 35 in 17 balls.

From the shakiest of starts to the most stellar of stands, Mumbai Indians’ chase was filled with it all.

After a blitzing opening spell from the likes of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Marco Jansen and Pat Cummins pushed MI to a precarious 31-3, Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Varma stepped in and steered the ship to not just safety but to victory itself as the duo would put up an unbeaten 143-run stand together.

Surya though, would tap into his classic self, effortlessly swiping away all bowlers at will for boudaries galore, and would go on to finish it all off in style.

With MI needing 6 to win, and Surya needing 4 for his century, the swashbuckling hard-hitter would clobber one off Natarajan straight over mid-on for a whopping six to clinch his century and seal the deal for MI as well.
