India are set to begin their campaign for the U-19 World Cup against Bangladesh on Saturday. The tournament will span over 24 days and a total of 41 matches will be played for the ultimate prize. India are one of the favourites to win the competition and will be hoping to bag a sixth crown in South Africa. They are also currently the defending champions of the U-19 World Cup having won the previous edition in 2022. They beat England by four wickets in the final of that tournament. This year India once again boasts a squad filled with talented players. They will be captained by Punjab batter Uday Saharan at the marquee event. He’s the same player who led India U-19’s Asia Cup campaign where they lost to Bangladesh in the semi-finals.
