Virat Kohli Drags Kuldeep Yadav Across The Ground During India's Practice Session | Watch Viral Video
In a video going viral on the internet, Kohli can be seen dragging Kuldeep Yadav across the ground during India's practice session ahead of the start of the 1st Test.

The first Test of the two-match series between India and Bangladesh is currently underway at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Bangladesh skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto won the toss and invited India to bat first on Thursday (September 19). Ahead of the start of the match, Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant were seen playing a prank on Kuldeep Yadav, the video of which is now going viral on the internet.

In the clip, Kohli can be seen dragging Kuldeep across the ground and then sharing a laugh with Pant.

Kuldeep, who picked up a five-wicket haul for India in his last Test against England, was dropped from the playing XI for the series opener, but Pant and Kohli were back in the side after missing the last series against England. While Kohli was not available due to the birth of his second child, Pant was not considered for selection as he was still recovering from the injuries that he suffered in the road accident on December 30, 2022.

Hasan Mahmud on fire

In the ongoing first Test, Shanto’s decision to bowl first turned out to be a masterstroke after Hasan Mahmud ran through India’s top-order in the first hour of Day 1’s play. The 24-year-old right-arm pacer opened his account by getting rid of Indian captain Rohit Sharma first and then removed Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli in quick succession.

While Rohit was caught in the slip by Shanto after making six runs from 19 balls, Gill and Kohli were caught behind by wicketkeeper Liton Das for 0 and six runs, respectively.

After losing three batters in the first hour of the first day’s play, Yashasvi Jaiswal joined hands with Pant to lead India’s recovery. The duo added 62 runs for the fourth wicket to take India in a decent position at the end of the first session. However, after lunch, Pant was sent back to the dugout by Hasan Mahmud. The 26-year-old wicketkeeper-batter was also caught behind by Liton, and before returning back to the pavilion, he scored 39 runs from 52 balls with the help of six fours.
