India will play their final opening round Group A match of the T20 World Cup 2024 in Florida against Canada.
The contest will be held at the Central Broward Regional Park in Lauderhill on June 15. However, going by the weather forecast in Florida, rain can play the spoilsport.
Over the past few days, severe thunderstorms have swept through various places in the southern part of the state. As predicted by the weathermen, the situation will remain the same for the next eight-ten days and thus could impact the T20 World Cup fixtures too.

Apart from India’s fourth league game, two more Group A matches– USA vs Ireland and Pakistan vs Ireland– are slated to be played in Florida this week.

The footage captured waterlogged localities in Miami, a coastal city situated in South Florida. Rainwater entered the groundfloor of several houses.
Streets were also flooded as people were seen pushing four-wheelers in knee-deep water. The storm and heavy rainfall resulted in numerous flights getting delayed and cancelled as well at the Miami International Airport and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.
If any of the upcoming Group A fixtures in Florida gets washed out due to rain, Pakistan will be knocked out of the T20 World Cup.
The Babar Azam-led side has so far managed to secure one victory in the first round. They lost the first two matches to the USA and India before beating Canada in a low-scoring affair.
India have already ensured their place in the Super Eight after winning three matches on the trot.
Pakistan will take on Ireland on June 16 when the state is expected to see heavy rainfall. If this match gets washed out due to rain, Pakistan will finish with three points, meaning the USA will enter the Super Eight as the second team from Group A.
