WATCH: Post-match Chat Between Rohit and Agarkar Catches Attention as Question Looms Over Kohli's Return
Chat between Rohit Sharma and Ajit Agarkar after the conclusion of the 2nd Test has hinted that the management doesn’t want to waste time in putting the squad together for the remaining matches.

The first two Tests were done after India bounced back in Visakhapatnam to level the series 1-1 and now, the focus has shifted on the availability of Virat Kohli. The former India captain pulled himself out of the matches in Hyderabad and Vizag citing personal reasons. As the action moves to Rajkot, the question looms over Kohli’s return.

England’s Bazball has challenged India every now and then in the series so far. The hosts have dealt with it bravely on most occasions but with three more games to go, they would certainly want to have their best man back in the business. In fact, an intense chat between Rohit Sharma and chief selector Ajit Agarkar after the conclusion of the game has certainly hinted that the management doesn’t want to waste time in putting the squad together for the remaining matches.

What Head Coach Said?

While addressing the post-match presser on Monday, India head coach Rahul Dravid had no answer about Kohli’s possible return for the next game in Rajkot or the rest of the series.

“I think it’s best to ask for selectors once the team will be selected for the next three games. I’m sure they’re the best people to answer that. We’ll get to that. I’m sure there’ll be a selection over the next few days and we’ll connect with them in mind,” Dravid said.

Kohli to become a father again

Kohli’s former Royal Challengers Bangalore teammate Ab de Villiers revealed the reason behind his absence from the cricket field.

“All I know is he is fine. He is spending a bit of time with his family, that is the reason he is missing the first two Test matches. I am not going to confirm anything else. I cannot wait to see him back. He is fine, he is happy,” AB de Villiers had on his YouTube channel.

“Yes, his second child is on the way. Yes, it’s family time and things are important to him. If you are not true and genuine to yourself, you lose track of what you are here for. I think most people’s priority is family. You can’t judge Virat for that. Yes, we miss him, but he has made the right decision,” he further said.
