Mumbai Indians are treating their last league stage defeat to RCB as a good omen going into the eliminator against the same opponent. MI were rattled for 113 after Ellyse Perry ran through the batting order with a six-wicket haul. However, the Harmanpreet Kaur-led side is not fazed too much by the drubbing and is looking positive for the eliminator.
Royal Challengers Bangalore, on the other hand, had a relaxed training session at the MAK Pataudi Sports Complex ahead of the Eliminator and will be upbeat about prospect of getting one up again on the defending champions after the one-sided drubbing of MI in their last league game.

MI and RCB played a couple of games before meeting again in the eliminator, and MI had sufficient time to heal the wounds. Perry’s thrashing will still be fresh, and RCB will look to hit the part of MI’s batting unit that is already injured. There have been several instances this year when MI’s batting unit has not clicked and has lacked consistency.
MI, for the second season in a row, missed a direct entry in the final. However, this should not dent their spirits as they went on to win the inaugural trophy after playing the eliminator.
