BPSC Reschedules Teacher Recruitment Exam To March 2024 For Timely Appointments
The third phase of the recruitment process, previously scheduled to take place in August, has now been revised to take place in March.

In a recent update regarding the third phase of the Teacher Recruitment Examination (TRE) conducted by the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC), the examination date has undergone a revision. Initially slated for August, the third phase of the recruitment process is now rescheduled to March, as confirmed by the Bihar Education Department.

Preparations for the examination are already in progress, with officials gearing up to facilitate the upcoming recruitment drive. This phase of TRE will cover vacancies from primary classes up to the plus two levels. The official notification, expected to be released by February 15, will invite applications for the remaining vacant positions from the previous phase.

The BPSC TRE phase 2 examination occurred between December 7 and December 15, with the results declared by December 22, 2023. The examination aimed to fill 1.22 lakh vacancies in Primary Teacher (PRT), Post Graduate Teacher (PGT), and Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) positions.

The exam pattern varies based on the position, and it is conducted offline. For primary teachers, the exam comprises language and general studies sections, with a total of 220 questions. Middle school teacher applicants face three sections covering language, primary maths, reasoning, general awareness, and a selected subject, totalling around 150 questions. Secondary school teacher candidates also tackle 150 questions across English, general studies, and their chosen subject. Similarly, applicants for higher secondary school teacher posts must answer 150 questions spanning English, general studies, and their specialised subject.

The BPSC TRE is an annual recruitment process managed by the Bihar Public Service Commission, aiming to appoint teachers for state government-run schools at the primary, secondary, and higher education levels.

This revised schedule provides candidates with an earlier opportunity to participate in the examination, streamlining the recruitment process and ensuring the timely placement of qualified educators in Bihar’s government schools.
