In today’s world, having computer knowledge has become increasingly essential. Even in rural areas, there is a growing interest among children and young people in learning about computers. In this context, there is an inspiring story of a man dedicated to promoting computer education in rural communities.

Shyamsunder Kumawat, from Pachar village in Sikar district, Rajasthan has been teaching computers to children and young adults for the past five years. Despite the village’s limited access to basic facilities, many young people have secured jobs in well-known companies after receiving computer training from Shyamsunder.

Some of his students have found roles as clerks and typists in various government offices. Within the local community, he is fondly known as “Computer Waale Bhaiya,” a name that reflects the respect and gratitude the people feel towards him for his efforts in enhancing their education and employment prospects.

Shyamsunder shared that when he first started his computer classes five years ago, only two or three students attended for the initial few months. Nevertheless, he persevered and remained dedicated to his goal. Today, his classes have expanded significantly, with over 100 students attending daily, resulting in a shortage of seating. To manage the increased demand, he now runs classes in two shifts.

He offers the RS-CIT (Rajasthan State Certificate in Information Technology) course free of charge to girls and charges a minimal fee to boys. In addition, he provides free computer education to underprivileged children. Remarkably, Shyamsunder is the only individual providing computer education in the Pachar region, making a significant impact by ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to learn essential computer skills.

Each week, along with practical assessments, Shyamsunder evaluates the children’s theoretical knowledge to help them perform well in their exams. Moreover, Shyamsunder is preparing for government jobs related to computers and technology.
