The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has deferred the date for filing the online application form for the recruitment of Post Graduate Teachers (PGT) in government higher secondary schools. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can fill out the application form through the official website of the Odisha Public Service Commission at opsc.gov.in.
According to the official notification, the application process is underway, and the OPSC PGT 2024 application form will remain accessible until March 18. Earlier, the deadline to fill out the forms was March 2. The Odisha Public Service Commission has also exempted candidates from all categories from paying any application fee for OPSC PGT 2024 registration.
OPSC Recruitment 2024: Vacancy Details
The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) recruitment drive is conducted with the aim of filling a total of 1,375 posts, out of which 53 are reserved for persons with disabilities (PwD), 41 are for ex-servicemen, and 14 are for sports personnel. The commission will soon announce the OPSC PGT examination dates on its official website.
OPSC Recruitment 2024: Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit: To be eligible, applicants should be between the age of 21 years to 38 years, as of January 1, 2023. However, the commission will provide upper age limit relaxations for reserved category candidates.
Educational qualification: Talking about educational qualification, candidates should possess a master’s degree in the subject concerned from a recognised university with at least 50 percent marks in aggregate or they should have a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or equivalent degree recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education. In addition to that, a degree or diploma in computer application is a desirable qualification, provided that the applicant can produce a certificate from a recognised university.
OPSC Recruitment 2024: How to Apply?
Step 1: Candidates need to go to the official website of the Odisha Public Service Commission at opsc.gov.in.
Step 2: Search for and click on the ‘Apply Online’ tab on the portal’s homepage.
Step 3: Upon clicking, register yourself and proceed with the application process.
Step 4: Select the desired post and fill out the application form with the required academic and personal details.
Step 5: Scan and upload documents in the asked format, if required, and click on the submit button.
Step 6: Once done, download the confirmation page and print a hard copy of the same for future reference.
Candidates will be selected based on their performance in the written examination. Those who clear the written exam will next be called for a personal interview and further document verification process.
