TS Inter First Year Student Dies by Suicide After Allegedly Failing in One Subject
The student, who was pursuing a BiPC course from a college in the state, had allegedly failed in a subject in the TS Inter Result 2024

A Telangana intermediate first-year student died by suicide after the TS inter results 2024 were released on April 24. The student, who was pursuing a BiPC course from a college in the state, had allegedly failed in a subject, reported Telangana Today.

The student had slipped into depression and died by suicide at her house in Rajendarnagar on Wednesday. The girl hanged herself on the ceiling fan in her house, the report added. After receiving information, the police reached the house and sent the body for post-mortem examination. A case has been registered.

Another inter-first year student also died by suicide at Subhashnagar in Srirampur on Thursday. The son of an auto driver, Nunswath Aravind had allegedly failed in mathematics and was disappointed with his results, Telangana Today reported. Another student in Kollur and another in Khammam had also died by suicide after the TS inter results were declared on Wednesday, the news agency reported.

The pass percentage recorded for this year’s TS inter first year exams has been recorded as 60.01 per cent. This is a 3 per cent dip from last year when 63.85 per cent of the students who took the exam passed. In the Manabadi TS Inter first Year Result 2024, girls performed better than boys. While the pass percentage among male students is 51.50 per cent, the same for girls is 68.35 per cent.

In the TS inter 2nd year results 2024, there has been a decline in the pass percentage by around 3 per cent. In 2023, the overall pass percentage stood at 67.26 per cent. This year, it is 64.19 per cent. Girls have performed better than boys. The pass percentage among girls is 72.53 per cent while among boys, it is 56.10 per cent.
