There were 47,447 students absent during the high school exams and 19,253 absent during the intermediate exams. Secretary Dibyakant Shukla reassured that all exam centres maintained peace and order throughout the process.

The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) reports a decrease of 300,000 students in the final exam registrations. The drop is mainly due to the board’s tough exam rules and anti-cheating measures. Last year, the state government imposed harsh penalties for cheating.
