The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has issued a statement to warn students and parents against cyber crimes related to Class 10 and Class 12 exams. The board stated that it is aware that candidates are being lured into falling into the traps of these fraudsters to improve their results in Uttar Pradesh board high school and intermediate exams. The Uttar Pradesh board held the Class 10 and Class 12 exams on February 22 and March 9.

The notification was released by Dibyakant Shukla, secretary of the Uttar Pradesh Board. The board asked students and parents not to respond to such fraudulent phone calls that claim to help improve the student’s performance. The statement also instructs them to file complaints against cybercriminals with the school’s district coordinator. The secretary also mentioned that in previous years, the board had received such complaints and responded by filing FIRs against them. Moreover, district coordinators are also advised to take immediate action if such incidents are reported by students or their guardians.

Reportedly, a total of 55,25,308 candidates registered for the 2024 academic year, with 29,47,311 in the high school examination and 25,77,997 in the intermediate examination. Out of the total, 83 government and 177 non-government-aided secondary schools were designated as evaluation centres.

As per reports, the UP Board may reveal the results any time during the third week of April.
