Alia Bhatt’s sartorial choices have always been marvellous, she knows what looks best on her and she sure does love to play to her strengths. The supremely talented Alia is at the moment in New Delhi to attend the 69th National Film Awards Ceremony where she will be awarded for her role in Gangubai Kathiawadi. As she rolled up to the red carpet of the event fans could not help but gush and immediately fall in love with the outfit she had chosen for the day.
Alia opted to re-wear her wedding saree which had been designed by Sabyasachi for this extremely special occasion of her life. Yes, you heard that absolutely right. The actress over time and again in several interviews has spoken about the art of re-wearing clothes and the goodness of following a sustainable fashion pattern. Alia choosing to re-wear her wedding ensemble is a fantastic move and must be celebrated as a rather conscious choice. Fashion enthusiasts must take a cue or two from the way she styled her look differently this time around than the way she had been styled for her wedding.
The ivory hand-dyed organza saree was paired with the matching half-sleeved blouse that had intricate embroidery work done on it too. While Alia had chosen to keep her tresses open for her wedding ceremony, this time she decided to pull her hair back into a bun. The addition of the white roses reminded fans of Gangubai’s allure and charm.
Just like her wedding day, she opted for a dewy make base for the awards ceremony too. The minimalistic eye makeup and the nude lip shade went seamlessly well with the entire look and the bindi acted as the cherry on the icing. She further accessorised her look with the help of a pearl and gold choker and a pair of matching earrings.
