AIFF announces probables for AFC Asian Cup
Mahindra United sensation Mohammed Rafi got a call up along with FPAI Young Player of the Year from JCT, Baljit Sahni.

New Delhi: The All India Football Federation (AIFF) on Tuesday released the list of 30 probables for the AFC Asian Cup 2011 in Qatar. The list, published by coach Bob Houghton, saw no major changes as the Englishman decided to move forward with more or less the same bunch of players.

Mahindra United sensation Mohammed Rafi got a call up along with FPAI Young Player of the Year from JCT, Baljit Sahni. Mohun Bagan midfielder James Singh and East Bengal defender Govin Singh also made it to the list.

All the 30 probables will be joining the Indian national team camp in June and are expected to travel in Portugal and Qatar for preparatory camps. However, the joining of star striker Sunil Chhetri is doubtful as his new employers Kansas City Wizards might not release him too often for joining national camps without international matches.

The full list is as below:

Subrata Paul, Arindam Bhattacharya and Subhashish Roy Choudhury.

Defenders

Samir Naik, Surkumar Singh, NS Manju, N Mohanraj, Mahesh Gawli, Anwar Ali, Govin Singh, Gouramangi Singh, Deepak Mondal and Rakesh Masih.
