London: Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has warned off potential suitors of Luka Modric by insisting the Croatian will not be sold by the north London club.
The 64-year-old has already dismissed a reported £22 million bid from Chelsea earlier this week as 'ridiculous', and the Spurs boss has warned off any further offers for the midfielder, who has also been linked with moves to Manchester United and Manchester City.
Redknapp told The Sun: "Tottenham are not selling Modric, end of story. I've spoken at length to the chairman Daniel Levy and he said Luka is not for sale. So that's good enough for me.
"Every club in the world would want a player with his ability - but he is ours and that is the way it is staying.
"The offer I heard bandied around for Modric is what is being paid for players who are not even fit to lace his boots."
Whilst the 25-year-old has admitted he is flattered by Chelsea's prospective interest, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has followed suit with his manager, and remains 'adamant' that the club have no intention of cashing in on the playmaker.
