Vieira launches another attack on Man Utd
Patrick Vieira claimed that the Old Trafford outfit get preferential treatment from match officials.

Manchester: Manchester City's Football Development Executive, Patrick Vieira has launched a second volley at Manchester United by claiming that the Old Trafford outfit get preferential treatment from match officials. Fulham were denied a late penalty at Old Trafford on Monday evening in United's 1-0 win.

"When United play at home they get some advantage other teams don't get," he said in an interview to BBC Sport. "I think when you go to United, Madrid, Barcelona, or Milan, when the referees referee these kind of games, it's always difficult to go against these kind of teams. This is the way it is."

Vieira's comments drew an immediate response from Rio Ferdinand on Twitter.

"Why is Viera so concerned with Man Utd....2 comments in a week or so....c'mon maaaaaan let it go," said the United defender.

Earlier, Vieira launched a bizarre attack on United last week, claiming the Red Devils were desperate to bring Paul Scholes out of retirement and that United wouldn't have lost young stars, like Ravel Morrison, in the past.

When asked about Vieira's comments, Man United's manager Sir Alex Ferguson quickly responded to the former Arsenal and City player. The manager reminded them of Roberto Mancini's claim that Carlos Tevez would never play for City again, before he took a five month break from the club, only for him to be brought back in to the team to help them get back on the top of the English Premier League table.

What's your reaction?
