Triptii Dimri, the ‘national crush of India’, is awaiting the release of her upcoming comedy film Vicky Aur Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video co-starring Rajkummar Rao. Helmed by Raaj Shandiliyaa, the film is all set to hit theatres on October 11. The actress has been making headlines ever since she appeared in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s action thriller Animal. Recently, during an interview with YouTuber Ranbir Allahbadia, she opened up about her love life and shared that she wants to feel the pure love that Shah Rukh Khan’s character showered on his co-star in the 1993 rom-com, Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa.
Calling the SRK-Suchitra Krishnamoorthi starrer her favourite film, Triptii stated that the innocence in it is what makes it a ‘real’ romantic film. She felt that SRK’s character Sunil’s love for Anna (played by Suchitra) was genuine and innocent. Therefore, she desires to get similar affection from her partner.
Furthermore, she stated that one may not be able to find a flawless partner as everyone has their own positives and negatives. Admitting that she is not a flawless person herself, the Qala actress added, “You don’t always find a person who fits the bill.”
Mentioning “Main filmon waali romantic hoon”, Triptii compared herself to Uday Chopra’s character Ali from the action-thriller franchise Dhoom, who had dreams of having a loving family. “Main Dhoom ki Uday Chopra hoon. I can’t be like ‘Let’s date and see.’ Mere hota hai ‘Parents ko milaungi toh kaisa lagega’ (I am Uday Chopra from Dhoom. For me it’s like, ‘How will it feel when I will introduce him to my parents)?”
On the work front, Triptii is currently busy promoting her comedy film Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video. Apart from her and Rajkummar, the film also stars Vijay Raaz and Mallika Sherawat in pivotal roles. It will face a big Bollywood clash with Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina starrer action drama film Jigra.
Apart from that, she also has the highly-anticipated horror comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 alongside Kartik Aaryan and Vidya Balan in her kitty. Directed by Anees Bazmee, the film will be released on the occasion of Diwali 2024. It will be clashing with Rohit Shetty’s much-awaited Singham Again featuring an ensemble cast of Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar and Jackie Shroff.
