Lisa Kudrow Joins Jennifer Aniston to Remember Friends Co-Star Matthew Perry: 'Thank You For...'

Lisa Kudrow joined the cast of Friends, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer, to pay tribute to Matthew Perry. The actor, who played the role of Chandler in the hit sitcom, died on October 28. The funeral took place on November 3 and the cast of Friends was present with his family. Days after the funeral, Lisa took to Instagram and shared a rare photo from the initial days of Friends along with an emotional note. She thanked him for various things, including trusting her and being her friend.

“Shot the pilot, Friends Like Us, got picked up then immediately, we were at the NBC Upfronts. Then… You suggested we play poker AND made it so much fun while we initially bonded. Thank you for that. Thank you for making me laugh so hard at something you said, that my muscles ached, and tears poured down my face EVERY DAY. Thank you for your open heart in a six way relationship that required compromise. And a lot of ‘talking.’ Thank you for showing up at work when you weren’t well and then, being completely brilliant. Thank you for the best 10 years a person gets to have,” she wrote.

“Thank you for trusting me. Thank you for all I learned about GRACE and LOVE through knowing you. Thank you for the time I got to have with you, Matthew,” she concluded the note.

Previously, a source told Page Six that Jennifer, Courteney, David, Matt and Lisa are said to be ‘reeling’ from Matthew’s sudden death. “The cast is reeling from the loss of their brother, because that’s what Matty was — their brother,” a source told the international outlet. “It’s just devastating,” the insider said before adding, “The entire cast are close, they will be devastated, because they were together through the best of times and worst of times. And when Matty was sick, they protected him, they looked him after him fiercely.”

Soon after the funeral, a source told Daily Mail that Jennifer Aniston was having a hard time accepting the death of Matthew Pery, mostly “keeping to herself” at the venue. The source claimed Jennifer “genuinely” believed that Matthew Perry’s darkest days were over. But his sudden death just two years down the line came as a “bitter blow to her”. “This was a day that Jennifer had dreaded coming for 20 years. She always wanted to help Matthew in any way she could – that was a constant for her,” the source added.
