Rihanna And A$AP Rocky’s Second Child's Name Finally Revealed

It wouldn’t be wrong to say that the name of Rihanna’s second baby is a fact that we’re all dying to know. The baby, born on August 2, 2023, has already grabbed everyone’s attention ever since the birth- with many media reports speculating on the sex of the child. According to PEOPLE, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky have named their newborn Riot Rose Mayers and as per the birth certificate, Riot was born at Cedar Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles at 7:41 a.m. Earlier, there were reports which claimed that Rihanna had given birth to a girl and that the newborn girl was “a perfect spitting image of Rihanna – even down to the light eyes.”

For the unversed, it is the couple’s second baby name which starts with the letter ‘R’ and seems to be a possible ode to a family with first names beginning with R. Rihanna’s husband Rocky’s legal name also starts with R- Rakim Athelaston Mayers.

In an interview with PEOPLE in August after Rihanna gave birth to her second child, an insider revealed that Rihanna felt that her family was complete and it was something ‘she always wanted’.

After the couple welcomed their baby, a source told ET that Rihanna and A$AP Rocky are planning to spend the early days of parenthood out of the public eye and won’t make any immediate plans to debut the new baby.

Rihanna and ASAP Rocky have another son named RZA (pronounced ree-zah) Athelson, who was born on May 13, 2022, but it took a year after he was born for the public to learn his name and it was only when Daily Mail obtained a copy of the RZA’s birth certificate. Later, Rocky confirmed the baby’s name in an Instagram post on May 14, 2022. In the post, he wrote, “‘WU TANG IZ 4 DA CHUREN’ HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY TO MY 1st BORN. RZA.”

Rihanna also previously revealed that she was not really interested in showing her baby or his name out to the public. However, the singer shared beautiful pictures of her son and family and her fans couldn’t have been happier. Speaking to The Washington Post, Rihanna had said, “We just didn’t get around to [revealing his name ] yet really. We’ve just been living. But I guess there’s a certain freedom that comes with, kind of, just, like, getting it out there.”
