Using a Dry Towel
Lay the pantyhose flat on your towel. Use a dry bath towel for best results. The thicker the towel is, the more effective this method will be. If you do not have a thick towel, repeat the method using two separate towels.
Roll pantyhose into your thick towel. Roll the towel up and let your pantyhose become rolled inside. Avoid twisting or wringing the rolled towel. Apply some pressure onto the towel. The towel will absorb most of the moisture, and it should only take minutes to air dry the pantyhose afterward.
Hang the pantyhose to let them air dry. Hang them on a clothesline or towel rack. If no other options are available, pull the shower curtain aside and use the shower rod to hang them. Be sure that they are not bunched up, since this could cause wrinkles. The drying process should take 20 to 30 minutes. You can hang clothes outdoors to dry.
Use a second dry towel and repeat the process. If your pantyhose are still wet, and the first towel has become moist with water from the pantyhose, find a second towel. Repeat the process before hanging the pantyhose to dry.
Heating the Pantyhose
Find a heating vent. If you have a heating vent in your home or available to you, you can use this to your advantage. Set it to 70 degrees Fahrenheit (21 degrees Celsius). This vent will act as a dryer for your wet pantyhose.
Hang the pantyhose. Hang the pantyhose over a piece of furniture approximately one foot (30.48 cm) from the vent, so that the hot air will hit it and dry your pantyhose. Leaving them hanging for long periods of time can cause stretching, so only try this if the towel method fails or is unavailable to you.
Use a hairdryer. In a pinch, you can use a hairdryer on either the “low,” “warm,” or “cool” heat setting to dry the pantyhose. Most hotel rooms come equipped with a hair dryer, which is usually stored in the bathroom. Hang the pantyhose on a towel rack before beginning to dry them.
Using the Outdoor Air
Get into your car. In a real emergency, and in good weather, you can dry your pantyhose from the window of a moving car.
Open the car window. Carefully, hold the pantyhose out of your window so that the legs of them are hanging out. Be sure to maintain a tight grip on them so that you do not lose them while the car is in motion. Be sure to do this in a private place, such as a parking lot, where no other cars are passing by.
Accelerate your speed. Do not exceed the posted speed limit, but drive quickly so that the wind dries your pantyhose. Hopefully, the sun will be out and can help in this drying process as well.
Drive to a discrete location. Unroll the window, pull on your hosiery while in the car, and check that all is in order. Then, you should be ready to make your grand entrance.
