Evolution
Know that Golbat evolves into Crobat with maximum friendship. Pokémon that also evolve with max friendship (under certain conditions) are Meowth (in its Alola Form in 7th generation Pokémon games), Chansey, Eevee, Pichu, Cleffa, Igglybuff, Togepi, Azurill, Budew, Buneary, Chingling, Munchlax, Riolu, Woobat, Swadloon, and Type: Null, into Persian (in its Alola Form), Blissey, Espeon/Umbreon, Clefairy, Togetic, Marill, Roselia, Lopunny, Chimecho, Snorlax, Lucario, Swoobat, Leavanny, and Silvally, respectively.
Obtain a Golbat. Golbat evolves from Zubat, which can be caught at many caves throughout your adventure.
Train it to become stronger. Feed it a lot of vitamins such as Protein or Iron to increase both friendship and stats, and use it in battles as often as possible. Try not to let it faint a lot.
Find other ways to increase its happiness. Massages/haircuts can quickly raise happiness in 4th generation Pokémon games, and in 5th generation games, you can feed it Sweet Hearts.
Give your Golbat a Soothe Bell. This increases the happiness more quickly.
Level it up once it has hit max happiness. It can often be difficult to tell, but there are people in every Pokémon game that can measure your Pokémon's happiness. If that particular person says that Golbat is extremely happy with you, it's time to level it up.
Enjoy your Crobat!
Catching It
Make sure you have Pokémon Black/White, Pokémon Black 2/White 2, or Pokémon Sun/Moon. Crobat can be caught in the wild in these games.
Obtain good Poke Balls in order to catch it. They should probably be Dusk Balls, since they work tremendously at night or in caves.
Go to Route 13 or Giant Chasm (Black/White), Dreamyard (Black 2/White 2), or Resolution Cave (Sun/Moon).
Wander around in the grass/cave until you find a Crobat. This may take some time. In Pokémon Sun and Moon, you will have to encounter a Golbat, and wait until it calls a Crobat as its ally Pokémon. Use an Adrenaline Orb during the battle to make the Golbat call ally Pokémon more often. Once it calls a Crobat as its ally Pokémon, knock out the Golbat.
Once you are in battle with it, wear down its HP. Don't accidentally knock it out.
Catch it!
If it works, enjoy, but if it doesn't, keep trying.
Local Trade
Make sure the friend you want to trade with has a Crobat.
Have the Pokémon you want to trade to your friend in your party.
Enter the Union Room (or engage IR communication). Your friend must to the same.
Start the trade. You may have to do this by running up to your friend in-game and talking to him/her.
Offer the Pokémon you want to trade. Your friend should offer Crobat.
Accept the trade, and enjoy your Crobat!
Internet Trade
Make sure you have a good connection to the Internet. Due to the shutdown of Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, 5th generation Pokémon games will no longer be able to connect to the Internet. Therefore, this only works in 6th and 7th generation Pokémon games.
Have a good Pokémon in your party.
Offer your Pokémon on the GTS in exchange for a Crobat. If you don't have a Crobat in your Pokédex, tap the "What Pokémon?" option and enter Crobat in the provided text box. Do not put a level restriction or any other restriction on it.
If you have a good Pokémon, the trade should happen within about one day, so keep waiting if you haven't gotten a Crobat yet.
Once you have gotten a Crobat, enjoy!
