HAPPY BIRTHDAY SAI DHARAM TEJ: Hailing from the prominent Allu-Konidela film family, Telugu actor Sai Dharam Tej turns 37 this year. He made his debut in 2014 in an A.S. Ravi Kumar film, which became a box office success and earned Tej accolades. Since then, he has worked in 15 more films and made a guest appearance on the television show Nenu Mee Kalyan, as himself. The actor was recently seen with Pawan Kalyan in Bro. On the occasion of his 37th birthday, here’s a look at the Telugu star’s top five movies and upcoming projects.
- Pilla Nuvvu Leni Jeevitham (2014)Sai Dharam Tej made his acting debut in this A.S. Ravi Kumar Chowdary directed Telugu-language romantic action drama. The movie deals with a love story featuring Tej and actress Regina Cassandra, set in the backdrop of deadly political rivalry and contract killings.
- Supreme (2016)Directed by Anil Ravipudi, Supreme sees Tej portray the role of a cab driver named Balu. He stumbles upon a child called Rajan (Mikail Gandhi), an heir to a royal dynasty whose properties are targeted by a land grabbing mafia leader (Kabir Duhan Singh). Raashi Khanna stars as his love interest.
- Chitralahari (2019)Tej portrays a talented but down on his luck young man named Vijay Krishna in this This Kishore Tirumala-directed romantic comedy. Having received constant rejection in life, Vijay sets up a dangerous plan to prove his worth.
- Prati Roju Pandaage (2019)The film, directed by Maruthi, shows how a lot of children cruelly abandon their parents after becoming established in life. Sai Dharam Tej plays Sai Tej, a young man caring for his dying grandfather (Sathyaraj), who is ignored by his own children.
- Virupaksha (2023)The Karthik Varma Dandu directed horror drama deals with occult practices in a remote village, which apparently causes the deaths of multiple villagers. Tej plays Surya, who decides to investigate the paranormal happenings.

Sai Dharam Tej will be next seen in a Sampath Nandi directed film with a prison backdrop. The title of the project, which has begun shooting, is being speculated to be ‘Ganjayi Shankar.’ Tej has also signed a film that is for the moment being called ‘SDT16,’ with debutant director Jayanth Panuganti.
