New Delhi: An IndiGo Goa-Hyderabad flight on Monday left behind 14 passengers, who had boarding passes. The passengers alleged that the flight left early but the airline said the passengers failed to report at the boarding gate despite several announcements.
A report in the Times of India said that Flight 6E 259 of the airline from Goa to Hyderabad was to depart at 10:50 pm but passengers said that ended up leaving 25 minutes ahead of time. The flight landed at 11:40 pm, ahead of the scheduled arrival of 12:05 am, they added.
Talking to ToI, an IndiGo spokesperson said, "The boarding gate closed at 10:25 pm and they reached the gate at 10:33 pm. IndiGo staff looked for them at the airport while making frantic announcements over the hand-held loudspeaker. The staff had even called the passengers on the phone number provided, but it turned out to be that of their travel agent, who refused to give us their phone numbers but promised that they will inform the passengers."
