Mumbai: Bollywood actor Salman Khan on Sunday tweeted out in support of 1993 Mumbai serial blasts convict Yakub Memon and said his brother should be hanged instead.
The Supreme Court had dismissed Yakub Memon's curative petition against death sentence and he will now be hanged on July 30. The curative petition was the last legal recourse available for Memon.
According to investigating agency, Tiger Memon got Yakub involved in planning and plotting the serial blasts that killed at least 257 people and injured about 700 on March 12, 1993.
Salman tweeted, "Hang Tiger. Brother is being hanged for Tiger. Arre where is Tiger? Get Tiger hang him. Parade him not his brother."
The superstar even called Yakub an innocent man and tweeted, "One innocent man killed is killing the humanity."
Khan even appealed to Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to give details about Tiger's whereabouts if he is in the neighbouring country.
