20,429 cops to be recruited

HYDERABAD: The flood gates for recruitment of 1.16 lakh government jobs have been opened with the State-Level Police Recruitment Board issuing a notification on Monday for recruiting as many as 20,429 constables — 18,905 civil, 645 SPF and 704 firemen.Chief minister N Kirankumar Reddy promised repeatedly that notifications of recruitment would be issued by December-end to fill 1.16 lakh government jobs.As per the government’s earlier statements, the Police Recruitment Board would issue another notification on filling more than 2,000 posts of sub-inspector of police.The department of school education also issued a notification on conducting the Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) on January 8.
