24-year-old's body found hanging from a tree in Siyani Gate area

The body of a 24-year-old man was on Saturday found hanging from a tree in Siyani Gate area of the district, police said.

The deceased has been identified as Amit, who lived in a rented accommodation in Ghaziabad, they added. "The police received information on Saturday morning, that a man was hanging from a tree in Sibapur area. A police team was sent to the spot," a police officer said, adding we could establish his identity from the documents recovered from his pocket.

Some injury marks were found on Amit's body, a native of Azamgarh district, which suggests that he might have been murdered before being hanged from the tree, he said.

We are awaiting his postmortem report to ascertain the exact cause of his death, the officer added.
