Muzaffarnagar: Nine children, ageing between 7-14 years of age, were injured in an explosion while making fire crackers at Shapur town in the district, police said on Wednesday.
The blast occurred last evening while the mixing of materials needed for fire crackers, they said. The injured children have been identified as Akib (12), Shahnoor (8), Samir (12), Sahil (13), Naushad (14), Aftab (4), Ayan (12) Rihan (8)and Uvesh(7).
They were admitted to a nearby hospital, police said, adding, investigation into the blast is underway.
