BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi will take the political battle from Chhattisgarh to poll-bound Rajasthan where they will be seen in a political face-off, once again, while addressing rallies in various districts on Wednesday.

One day after he addressed five rallies in Madhya Pradesh, Narendra Modi will now kickstart his spearheaded drive against Congress in Rajasthan with the first meeting in Alwar constituency at 11 am, which will be followed by a meeting in Deeg Kumher constituency (Bharatpur), and the third one will be held in Bandikui in Dausa, BJP state vice president Onkar Singh Lakhawat said. The fourth and fifth meeting will take place in Sawaimadhopur and Dudu (Jaipur) constituencies, respectively, he said.

Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi will address rallies in Chittorgarh and Bikaner districts, party sources said.

The political war has intensified between the Congress and the BJP, both eyeing a majority win in general elections 2014. However, five states that are heading towards polls, out of which second and final phase of polling in Chhattisgarh has already begun on Wednesday, also play a crucial vote-bank for the two parties in the run-up to the final show during general elections next year . Rajasthan is one of these five states and goes to the polls on December 1. Results will be out December 8.
