The ‘All-in-one tour in one day’ project being implemented by the Kerala State Cooperative Tourism Federation Limited (Tourfed) has become a big hit. The ` 3,250-package includes air travel, voyage in sea, visiting heritage sites and travel by train. The tour starts from Thiruvananthapuram airport and reaches Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL).
From CIAL, the team will reach Kochi city and engage in sight-seeing there. There will also be a voyage to the Arabian Sea. The team will reach Thiruvananthapuram back by the Janshatabdi Express. Tourfed managing director P S Rajeev said that the package is designed for fun-filled enjoyment in a one-day tour. This package was started in summer and is continuing now. This facility was already availed by Secretariat Staff Cooperative Society, Kerala Housing Board Staff Cooperative Society, residents’ associations and BSNL Recreation Club.
The tour package is now available on all government holidays, second Saturdays and Sundays.
The team starts from Thiruvananthapuram at 6 am and reaches Kochi by 6.40 am. After breakfast, there will be a two-hour voyage to the Arabian Sea and then, after lunch, the team will move to Fort Kochi and Mattancherry.
The return journey by train will start from Ernakulam Junction at 5.25 pm, reaching Thiruvananthapuram by 9 pm.
This package is planned for the promotion of Kerala destinations. Following the success of this tour package, similar programmes will be arranged from Kozhikode to Kochi and Kochi to Kozhikode by the end of this month.
