New Delhi: Filmmaker Vikram Bhatt, who is ready with his next production venture 'Ankur Arora Murder Case', says he doesn't resort to item number to get box office success.
"It's a commercial film and I don't think we need item numbers for commercial success. In the past, some good films did well without item number like 'English Vinglish' and 'Barfi!'. I don't need an item song for box office success," Vikram Bhatt told reporters at the trailer launch of 'Ankur Arora Murder Case'.
Directed by Suhail Tattari, the thriller speaks about medical negligence.
"The film will be an eye opener as it speaks about medical negligence," said Bhatt.
Arjun Mathur, Kay Kay Menon, Vishakha Singh and Tisca Chopra will be seen in important roles in the film.
Tisca Chopra plays a mother whose son dies due to medical negligence in the film, "Outstanding story, outstanding performances... You will see some of the best performances in the film. It has been made so well that it has surpassed my expectations. It's just amazing."
Paoli Dam will be seen as a lawyer for the first time in the thriller, "It was very challenging (to play lawyer) and it's the first time I was playing a lawyer."
She further said, "There were nuances in the character, there were lot of words, typical medical terms and of course the body language (that I had to learn), so it has been nice, but very challenging also."
'Ankur Arora Murder Case' is releasing along side 'Fukrey' and 'Man of Steel' on June 14.
