Anti-Posco agitation gains momentum

HALLIGUDI(MUNDARGI) : Farmers in large numbers turned up for the agitation against the proposed Posco steel plant here.
On Wednesday, hundreds of farmers from Bellary, Koppal and Davangere districts joined their counterparts in Gadag in the agitation called by Siddhalinga swamiji of Tontadarya mutt of Gadag, which may have taken even the seer by surprise. The meeting, which was initially attended by only 500 farmers, swelled to 3,000.Addressing the gathering, Siddhalinga swami alleged that the state government and also people in important positions were not trustworthy.
