Azad heads panel for coordination

HYDERABAD: The Congress high command has constituted the much awaited coordination committee headed by AICC general secretary Ghulam Nabi Azad, to ensure that the party and the government in the state work with perfect understanding.The committee includes chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, deputy chief minister Damodar Rajanarasimha, PCC president Botcha Satyanarayana, MLA K Chiranjeevi, MLC D Srinivas, MP Kavuri Sambasiva Rao and former minister Md Ali Shabber.The new setup is intended to ensure two-way communication between the party and the government. The party will let the government know the feedback from people on latter’s policies.On its part, the government will keep the party informed of its development initiatives. Erstwhile PRP president Chiranjeevi’s inclusion is considered as the first step the party has taken to placate him in wake of complaints that he was being ignored.
